Turning of the Fagus Photo Competition
Each autumn, the native Fagus transforms the alpine landscape around Cradle Mountain into striking shades of gold, orange and deep red. It’s one of Tasmania’s most anticipated seasonal moments and a beautiful time to experience the wilderness.
To mark the occasion, Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge hosts its annual Turning of the Fagus Photo Competition, inviting guests to capture and share their favourite autumn scenes.

18 April – 9 May
Over 21 days, we’ll be celebrating the season with daily entries and standout images featured throughout the Lodge.
Competition Details
Standout entries will be recognised throughout the event, with selected images professionally printed and one overall winner proudly showcased at the Lodge.
